Andy Murray and Rafa Nadal have revealed two of their secrets. Murray prefers old socks and Nadal never wears sun block

As anyone who has played on clay knows, white socks have usually turned red by the end of a match. Some players might be tempted to wear new kit for every match they play, but not Murray.
"I only wear old socks,” Murray said after beating Japan’s Tatsuma Ito in his first match at the French Open. "I don't like new ones. My feet slip in the shoe a lot, so I always wear old socks. But I'm just trying to see if these ones are stained or not. These ones are all right. They're old. I guess they come out providing you wash them. Also I wear the ankle brace, as well, so that helps.”
Murray said he likes to wear new socks "just to walk around in, and the old ones to play matches in.” Who washes the socks? "I did my washing about four or five days ago in the hotel. I'm capable of doing that.”

Рафаэль Надаль стал самым молодым игроком, которому покорилась отметка в 150 выигранных матчей на турнирах «Большого шлема».

(Reuters) - Rafael Nadal is so strong on clay that he has won a record-equalling six grand slam titles on a court he does not really like playing on.

The second-seeded Spaniard has lost only one match on Court Philippe Chatrier since his Roland Garros debut in 2005 and he experienced few problems in crushing Italian Simone Bolelli 6-2 6-2 6-1 to reach the French Open second round on Tuesday.

"I'm not the right player to say I don't like that court. That's the first thing," he replied when asked he if he found the court tricky to play on.

"But I know an opinion that it's true it's not an easy court. Difficult court to play. A lot of wind around. The conditions can be very difficult to play," he said.

"Because a lot of days in the outside court, the wind is almost zero, and you go to the centre (court) and you feel the wind.
