Q: How difficult is it coming from Paris on such an emotional high to grass court and what kind of adjustment are you going to have to make? You were just out practicing. What were you concentrating on?
NADAL: Sure, the week after a tournament winning a tournament like Roland Garros is never easy because you play with a lot of tension, a lot of emotion. At the same time, we had a tough season. I specially played a lot of matches during this clay court season. So, you’re always a little bit tired after the French Open. But the adjustment that I have to do is the same like every year. First thing, try do adapt to the speed of the court, try to remember a little bit how to hit the ball on a grass court and for sure the movement. It’s totally different on grass than clay. Los excelentes resultados del Programa Integración y Deporte, desarrollado en 2011 con niños y jóvenes en situación vulnerable, han llevado a la Fundación Rafa Nadal y a Aldeas Infantiles SOS a renovar su acuerdo de colaboración para favorecer la integración social en los barrios más desfavorecidos de Barcelona, Granada y Zaragoza.
El proyecto comenzó su andadura en 2010 y, si los resultados siguen siendo tan esperanzadores como hasta el momento, continuará hasta 2013, según acaban de firmar ambas asociaciones. Su objetivo es ofrecer a niños y jóvenes sin recursos la posibilidad de descubrir, a través del deporte, valores y aptitudes que contribuyan a mejorar su vida. Hasta el momento se ha desarrollado en Sant Adrià del Besos (Barcelona) y Granada, pero muy pronto se extenderá también a Zaragoza.

A hotel worker has been arrested for allegedly stealing a £250,000 watch from Spanish tennis superstar Rafael Nadal. The light-fingered employee reportedly snatched the lavish timepiece from Nadal's suite at a five-star luxury Paris hotel. The sportsman said he put the watch by his bedside the evening after winning his 7th French open title on Monday. But when he woke on Tuesday morning, the jewel-encrusted gadget lent to him for the tournament by watchmakers Richard Mille had vanished. Police were initially baffled by the crime because the hotel suite showed no signs of forced entry, and only Nadal's parents and girlfriend had access.
